Jimmy & Joe’s opened on October 6th, 2006, but the thought of opening a pizzeria had been in the works for some time. While my daughter was in college getting her degree in Business, she and I would talk of opening a pizzeria.
When I was in college I started working in the restaurant business and fell in love with it. I loved the excitement, the people, and the satisfaction of customers leaving content. This enjoyment sent me working for National Chains for fifteen years, and then into Food Distribution for ten years. While in the Food Distribution business I met Nick Heddings owner of Arizona Pizza Company in Tucson. Nick and I became close friends and I shared with him my desire and to get back in the restaurant business. It is Nick’s encouragement and great pizza recipe that I am eternally grateful for.
